A few details


A small kitchen needed as much space for storage as possible. This built-in puts the once wasted space above the refrigerator to good use. The raised panel doors have pinned mortise and tenon joints.	2 adjustable shelves in the main storage compartment. A wide shelf on top is made possible by a removable center post. Large vertical is left open for tray storage.	The integrated wine rack and hanging storage on the side squeezes out every last bit of storage.

“Before”

After installing the “base” cabinets and counter top the wall seemed half done. So, the homeowner asked to have the wall finished off...

“After”

I framed out a partition wall with a doorway and designed, built, and installed matching upper cabinets to hide the plumbing and add even more storage.

Plumbing Access

Access to shut off valves is maintained. One is accessed by a trap door built into the underside of the upper cabinets. The water meter is protected by a 3-sided cover, which is pulled out of the way in this picture.
